We made a big ghost cake last year, so this year I thought I'd make some smaller ones.
We just used a normal sponge cake recipe and little square cake moulds ( or you could just make a big cake and cut it into pieces ).
I then rolled out some read to roll icing and cut into circles, we placed these carefully over the little cakes and the children drew on some eyes for me with a black icing pen.
We had a bit of icing left over so I used it to make these little bat and spider cupcakes.
What do you think? and what Halloween cakes have you made?
Did you see my Halloween cake pops too?

I love the ghosts! What fun Halloween treats!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute and creative. : )
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. It's definitely the route I am taking for our Halloween party this year. Simplicity is key. My husband is all for me making a chocolate cake and simply adding white icing and some eyes. Tempting.
ReplyDeleteThat is so clever and simple. I think even I could do this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I'd love you to add it to my halloween linky please.
